Texts From My Sister: REM Cycle

Why is Rite Aid always tryin' to make me cry in public? "Everybody Hurts" isn't appropriate for casual pharmacy shopping. I'm gonna see if they have straight razors.

  1. That's direct marketing if I've ever heard of it. Quick stop by the candy aisle (here in TX you can then stop by the wine aisle too) and off to the pain meds...genius!

  2. Seriously!

I was in there last week and it was Willie Nelson's "You were always on my mind" which usually makes me want to run my car into a building to end my misery.

Instead, I bought a box of Slim Jims.

  5. I heard the theme from mash being played once, while in my doctor's waiting room that is shared with a psychiatrist.

    I was giggling for days

  6. Slow songs = people shopping more slowly = people buying more stuff. Sappy love songs in drug stores are the worst.

  8. I think that song is appropriate if you're buying yeast infection products. Hahhaha I crack myself up.

  9. I was walking through a Rite Aid once, and what else could be playing but, "I can't liiiiiiiiiive, if livin' is without youuuuuuuu, I can't liiiiiiiiive, I can't give anymooooore.... I CAN'T LIIIIIIVEEEEE......!"

I decided I could buy what I was looking for elsewhere. Where it wasn't Purgatory.
