I know, I am such a tease.
What I can say that being a married woman flirting with sailors in a downtown frat bar was not my finest moment, but I got to wear the hat--a lifelong sailor fashion dream fulfilled!--and ultimately my six beers and I decided that made it all OK.
Have a great Memorial Day! Your regularly scheduled blogging will resume on Tuesday.

Have a great Memorial Day Una!
ReplyDeleteI hope your introductions to get your story didn't start with "Hey Sailor..."
I'm just saying :)
Ron
I am seething with envy.
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty! I'm excited to read the article, but nervous for Jeff to read it--let us know what happens! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so good I'm headed out this very minute to find a sailor hat of my very own. And six beer.
ReplyDeleteLOL I just saw that episode of SATC on TBS the other night! Must be loads of fun! =)
ReplyDeleteHaha silly sailors.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a ton of fun! I wish hundreds of sexy sailors invaded my city once a year. Damn land-locked state!
ReplyDeleteOur fleet week is coming up too. Love scouring the city for drunken sailors. And you stole my blog post title. :)
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who's wondering what his wife is going to think if she sees his picture?
ReplyDeletecutest picture of you ever!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pictures. I am envoius. I wish that I could enjoy Fleet Week...although since my wedding is in 12 days if I ever get to enjoy it..I too will be enjoying it as a married woman. *sigh* The things we give up for the men we love!
ReplyDeleteThe hat really suits you --
ReplyDeleteThis story I know will be good. Looking forward to it.
Personally, I have a thing about any man in white pants, not a thing like I can't resist it, but a thing like I just cant get past it even if mandated by the federal government.
I blame it on a bad date eons ago with a guy in a reggae band who showed up in white painter's pants. To each his/her own!
It's a hard job but someone's got to do it eh?
ReplyDeleteAt a recent wedding one of my close friends, a submariner no less attended in his dress uniform. Our transport has been a little temperamental recently due to a volcano having a hissy fit. In a moment of mischief the groom told a number of guests that the friend had arrived without any luggage and so had hired the outfit as it was the only one left in the shop and that he was trying to live out his boyhood dream. The friend spent a lovely afternoon but was subject to a number of pitying pats on the back from older guests, excuses from nice young ladies and snorts of laughter from us his so-called-friends when he started to explain how he won his medal. bless.
Looking forward to your story
Hope your weekend was great!
ReplyDeleteI have given you an award on my blog:
